Join us in our state-of-the-art studio. Our Art Lab drop in sessions are ideal for ceramic artists seeking a space to create! These sessions are for individuals with a solid understanding of ceramic techniques, such as: wheel throwing, hand-building, decorating, glazing, and basic studio safety.
Adult Clay Art Lab Open Studio Sessions at the Fishers Art Center
Starting October 13, 2025
Art Lab includes:
Professional-Grade Equipment – Use of the studio and equipment during the registered time. Access to 12 Brent C wheels, 5 tabletop accessible wheel, handbuilding/wedging tables, slab roller, extruder, communal tools.
Flexible Scheduling – These sessions can be purchased as one 3 hour session, or you can load up multiple! Perfect for those that cannot commit to a full length class, but would like to still have access to the studio and equipment!
Our Art Lab is a self-guided drop-in session which does not include instruction.
Clay Purchases – Option to purchase clay by the pound. ($1 per pound) Glazing and firing not included.
Firing – Firing tickets are available for purchase if interested. This is not a firing service, all work to be fired must be created during the art lab session.
Option to pay by piece, or rent an entire kiln Bisque or Cone 6 electric firing only ($1.50 per piece, work larger than 250 cubic inches will be considered two or more pieces.
-Half kiln load $20
-Full kiln load $45
Storage – One storage shelf is available on a first come first serve basis. Participants using the community shelf can only store work if enrolled in future Art Lab sessions.
